Here are the chronicles of what happened.
NoisNois y Allegados en Casa 5: Opening
Written by Sofía González

When February was about to expire and the little hand of the clock had not yet pointed at 7 p.m., the members of the collective NoisNois and some acquaintances were eagerly waiting in the Casa5 facilities. They were waiting for the arrival of journalists, art critics, musicians, artists, random curious people and anyone interested in watching the most ambitious project of the collective so far. It was all about an art exhibit sprinkled with a series of concerts scattered in four dates. On the opening night, twelve artists and their art pieces became the center of the spotlight. When the clock finally pointed at the hour written in all flyers, people started to enter in an exponential manner. Where there were two people chit-chatting calmly, seconds later there were four and then sixteen and so forth. The rooms in Casa5 –empty just minutes before– were fully crowded by guests now.
Well then. Many of you may imagine that, given the excess of guests, movement and sounds, the art pieces would remain as gloomy witnesses of the night. It was not like that! Each piece came to be another guest in its own way. The art of Alon, Ahool, atsub, Cynthia Alfaro, Diegogo, Messeguer, MOSA, Pablo Murillo, Catalina Ramos, Sandía and Zavorío was conversing lively with the audience, showing off a variety of techniques and themes. The combination of materials and methods was predominant in the art exhibit. One could find lamps, wires, a wooden stool, paper sheets and more conventional techniques such as painting, screen printing and photography. No matter what elements were used; each and every art piece conveyed its message efficiently, which created a link with the audience from the very beginning.
Around 8 p.m., the exhibition curator, Mariela Richmond, addressed the guests to briefly thank all people involved. After the speech and applause, Mar introduced the two musical projects in charge of adding charm to the night. Visión Armónica del Caos (VAC) and Spaceship (lanave) caught the audience attention, first individually, and then in a graceful collaboration by the end of the night. Spaceship, stretched hands over a little wooden table, played some brief tunes filled with the unmatchable flavor of cumbia in a toy keyboard. Meanwhile, VAC put on an impromptu performance with the electric guitar. It was quite unconventional, dissonant and, at the same time, awesomely original.
Hours later, the music, the snacks and the energy faded; people were slowly moving out. They were doing so one by one, saying good-bye to the art as well as to the house that welcomed them. In any case, it was a “See you later” since NoisNois y Allegados en Casa5 had still much excitement to give away.
