People often relate characteristics or human desires with the qualities of diverse creatures, contemporary bestiaries. Any particular ruse or attitude can be subject to comparison with the non-human. For this reason, the great constant in my life has always been the association to different animals. Considering my case, in twenty one years I’ve been transformed into a hyperactive flea, an annoying rodent, a street dwelling mongrel, a dead rabbit and a sad city pigeon. And for diverse reasons, I feel a profound empathy for the last animal mentioned: pigeons show what I am and what I wish to become. Even though pigeons can’t write, they swarm the city and roam in search for food, croon softly during sunny afternoons and why not, they also know how to fly.
